Selected hotel-to-hotel private services have an estimated journey time of about 6 hours; shared tickets may instead finish at a Khao San-area office or a named airport. Check the exact pickup and drop-off before comparing fares, because a pier departure starts at a different point from hotel collection.
Private car, SUV or van to a Bangkok hotel
Choose a service from Koh Chang Hotel Transfer to Bangkok Hotel Transfer if you want collection and delivery arranged for your accommodation. Provide both hotels' full names and addresses so the pickup location and drop-off coverage can be confirmed. A private vehicle is reserved for your party, which can suit travellers who prefer an agreed hotel pickup and privacy during the road journey.
The estimate applies to the named hotel-to-hotel transfer. Allow time for the island drive, ferry connection and Bangkok approach; ferry waiting and requested stops can affect the journey.
Flexible departure or “Any time” means arranging your pickup in advance. The crossing still has to fit ferry operations. Confirm the requested pickup time, ferry arrangements and whether you keep the same vehicle throughout; a private booking alone does not explain those details.
Shared ferry and van or bus services
Shared products labelled Van+Ferry or Ferry + Bus combine the crossing with onward road transport and are priced per person. They can suit solo travellers or couples who prefer to buy individual seats and follow a scheduled departure. Check the available departure for your date and the transfer sequence, including where you change vehicles and handle your bags.
Where available for your date, a shared hotel-transfer ticket can end at Boonsiri Khao San office on Phra Sumen Road, near Khao San Road. From that office, arrange your onward journey to your Bangkok hotel unless your ticket explicitly includes it. Hotel collection must be confirmed for your property: the White Sand Beach–Bang Bao collection area does not mean every hotel on Koh Chang is covered.
A separate Ferry + Bus option starts at Ao Sapparot Pier on Koh Chang and ends at Suvarnabhumi Airport. For a pier departure, arrange your hotel-to-pier journey separately unless collection is explicitly included, and follow the meeting point and reporting time on your ticket. A combined ticket can cover several forms of transport; it does not promise one vehicle or a journey without stops.
Choose the right Bangkok destination. Bangkok Hotel Transfer, a Khao San-area office and an airport are different endpoints. If you are travelling for a flight, use the specific Koh Chang to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) or Koh Chang to Don Mueang Airport (DMK) route to match the airport on your flight ticket.
Compare the whole booking. Use the search above with your date and everyone in your party, then open the service details. Compare the private vehicle total with the total for all shared seats, adding any separate hotel-to-pier or Bangkok onward transport. Check which passenger ferry tickets, vehicle crossing fees, waiting and requested stops are covered, along with cancellation and change terms.
Give the number and size of your bags when choosing a vehicle. For oversized luggage, mobility equipment, a child seat or a planned stop, confirm your pickup and travel requirements before paying; seat count alone does not establish luggage space.
Allow for an onward flight. Work backwards from your airline's check-in, bag-drop and boarding requirements, allowing for travel to the pickup point, ferry and road delays, and the correct airport drop-off. For an early flight, we recommend crossing to the mainland the previous day and staying near your departure airport. An estimated transfer time is not a promise that you will make a flight.
